Tiktok user SamanthaMase went viral yesterday after capturing footage of Mauna Loa, the largest active volcano in Hawaii, erupting.
This is the first time the volcano has erupted since 1984. The eruption is not threatening any residents in the area, however, local authorities have set a warning in place for ash, smoke, and sulfur.
While SamanthaMase wasn't close enough to see any lava flow, they did get a good look at the surrounding area and some beautiful viewpoints of the eruption happening.
She was able to see the eruption starting from her home. She then drove out closer to get a better view of the volcano and the scenery around the eruption.
